Our structure will be part of a new petrochemical complex of Shell Chemical near Pittsburgh, U.S.A. The new plant will include an ethane cracker with an approximate annual average capacity of 3.3 billion pounds of ethylene, three polyethylene units with a combined annual production capacity of approximately 3.5 billion pounds and facilities for power and steam generation, storage, logistics, cooling water and water treatment, emergency flare and offices. The own 250 MW power plant with three turbines will supply the whole plant with energy.

Polyethylene – the final product – is used for the production of plastic goods. Polyethylen is produced from ethan, which is separated from natural gas liquid. Side products will be light gasoline.

The construction should commence at the end of 2017.

We deliver steel structures for three units, each weighting thirty tons. Manufacturing acc. EN 1090-2 EXC 2, incl. engineering (acc. American norms), hot dip galvanized.
