Second unit of world’s most efficient heavy-duty GE gas turbine arrived in Pakistan to meet growing energy needs. TMETAL supplied the steel structure of 44 t for the sound insulation of this gas turbine, as a second structure following the structure for the unit 1.
Both units of the new power plant Bhikki in Punjab, Pakistan with the 1,180 MW capacity should start operation in spring 2017 and should help to meet up to 20 percent of the current energy shortfall.
