TMETAL has manufactured a steel structure for the steam turbine acoustic enclosure at the new Zarqa power plant in Jordan near Amman. The steam turbine for the new power plant with capacity of 183 MW is supplied by Doosan Skoda.
This combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of 485 MW brings another 150 MW into the grid. It will be built at the place of old Hussein power plant and will use its existing infrastructure. At the same time, thanks to its high efficiency and low emissions, it will be much more environmentally friendly than the existing one
TMETAL supplied a steel structure weighing 13.6 t including static calculations, project documentation, preassembly in black and painting.
