TMETAL supplies steel structures of towers for the construction of a new metro line in Sydney. Conveyors used for the debris transport by tunnelling will be placed on these towers. Our supply includes complete engineering: statics, design, production and assembly documentation, production including surface treatment and container oversea packaging. So far we delivered over 400 tons of steel structures for the construction of subway lines around the stations Chatswood and Marrickville this year.
Metro Sydney is building a new infrastructure to increase train capacity across Sydney from 120 to 200 services an hour after 2024. The plan is to build a 15.5 km long new parallel line between Chatswood and Marrickville and modern metro stations to allow faster and safer passenger clearance. Five TBMs will be used to excavate this new twin rail, which also leads under the port of Sydney Harbor.
